Well, Happy New Year to all of my family, friends and followers of BWITW. So hard to believe that we are into 2022. Over the holiday season, I was listening to an online service and the first lady of this particular church was sharing her ‘favorite things’ and items that she was giving for Christmas. Now before I tell you about the favorite thing that she mentioned, I must tell you why it caught me. You see I had been talking with a dear friend and we had been sharing our favorite Christmas movies. Now I love Christmas and have a lot of favorite movies but have never had just one favorite. My friend said, “It’s a Wonderful Life”. Now I must admit that I have never sat down and watch this entire movie. I always thought it was ‘not my thing’. So, fast forward to the ‘favorite things’ conversation. This first lady talks about giving this book as a Christmas gift called, “52 Little Lessons from ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’”.
Now for some reason, God has my attention on this movie. What is it about this movie that someone would write a book about the lessons in it? That from this ‘movie’ came all of these lessons? Really? So, you guessed it, that very day, I watched the movie, and I ordered the book that she spoke about.
After watching the movie, WOW, I could see the many lessons myself. So, I then received the book and was blown away. So, I decided to share with you as I unfold the 52 lessons over the next year. I encourage you to get the book if you like, but I will be taking a lesson a week and sharing it with you on Monday, so that together we can apply it to our lives during the week. You will only get my view, so I do hope you get the book and learn and grow from it.
My prayer is that by the end of 2022 we are all better people, that we know our worth, our purpose, that we will be people of honor and integrity, making a difference in our community.
