It’s easy to feel alone in moments of pain. We wonder, aloud sometimes, if anyone is listening to our hurts. Painful days seem endless when they are upon us, but in retrospect we can usually see that GOD was listening all along. He always hears the cries of our hearts.

Thought for the Day
It’s easy to feel alone in moments of pain. And when those times come, we often wonder if we will ever feel ‘normal’ again. We wonder, aloud sometimes, if anyone is listening to our hurts.
Even King David (the author of Psalm 39), who had been rescued by God’s hand more than once, had moments of painful vulnerability when he begged God to notice his tears. And, of course, God did notice. Painful days seem endless when they are upon us, but in retrospect we can usually see that God was listening all along.
Consider This
When is a time when I have felt unheard by God?
What makes me feel like God isn’t listening in those moments?
What is reassuring about knowing that God hears me?
Prayer Focus
Tell God about a time you felt unheard by him. Share your hurt with him. Also, thank God today for his presence in the midst of your hurts, even when you don’t feel it
